I. Product Description CRC Smoke Tester conveniently tests the functional capability of a smoke detector. The CRC Smoke Tester can be sprayed while standing on the floor eliminating the need to climb ladders or chairs. Ideal for residential or commercial detectors, the CRC Smoke Tester is safe and easy to use. All it takes is a 3-second CRC Smoke Test. Additionally, the CRC Smoke Tester checks for obstructions or debris that block the detector openings and prevent smoke from properly entering the sensing chamber. This important safety test is not accomplished by pressing a test button. II. Applications

VII. Directions · Shake well. Hold canister 600mm - 1.2m below smoke detector and spray for 2-3 seconds.

· If alarm does not sound within 5 seconds, repeat process. Some detectors have a built-in delay to reduce false alarms.

· If unit still does not sound, immediately inspect unit for any defects, debris, or dead batteries.

· To quickly silence an activated alarm, vent air through detector vents.

· Do not over-spray. Over-spraying may reduce sensitivity until product is completely evaporated.

· For detectors connected to sprinklers, halo systems, or central monitoring systems, ensure unit is in test mode before testing with CRC smoke tester.

X. Special Use Warnings

Aerosol Cans

Do not puncture, burn or store above 500°C. Exposure to high temperatures may cause the can to burst. Do not place in direct sunlight or near any heat source. Aerosol cans will conduct electricity. Keep away from all live electrical sources including battery terminals, solenoids, circuit boards and other electronic components. Failure to observe this warning may result in serious injury from fire and/or electric shock.

General

Use only in a well-ventilated area. Ventilation may be improved by opening a window or door or providing mechanical assistance. Avoid continuous breathing of vapors and mist. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If ventilation is inadequate, wear respiratory protection.
